Working with Responsible Solutions

Responsible Solutions work with businesses from a range of sectors and have specific expertise in the construction industry.

"They can clearly make the business case for action on reducing Environmental impact."
Simon Butler, Operations Co-ordinator, Robert Woodhead Ltd

We believe that a structured approach to tackling your environmental and social responsibility issues will provide the most cost effective way of taking action, which is why we recommend starting the process with an initial review. The resulting Action Plan will identify the key steps you need to take.

If your business faces environmental or social responsibility issues which do not appear to fit into one of our services, please contact us. We are able to help businesses solve many 'non-standard' problems and will be happy to discuss your specific requirements.

Government Funded and Other Projects

We carry out research into environmental issues for government funded (DEFRA & DTI) bodies, such as Envirowise. This has resulted in the publication of a best practice guide for the industry, Envirowise's GG606 'Reducing Packaging Waste in the Construction Industry', as well as increasing our capacity to deliver to our commercial clients specialist knowledge in areas such as Packaging Waste and Resource Efficiency.

We have managed the UK's first Construction Resource Efficiency Club for Envirowise since December 2005, with many success stories. Follow the progress of this club both on this website and through the monthly newsletters from EMCBE (East Midlands Centre for the Built Environment). If you are interested in membership of this then please contact us.

Responsible Solutions Ltd is also involved with CIRIA & Crane Environmental in the scheme management of CEEQUAL, the Civil Engineering Environmental Quality Assessment and Awards scheme. It's current portfolio of projects covers bridge building to land reclamation to sewage treatment.
